It’s a great pleasure to have a chance to write to you. I have come to know of you through your
advertisement. I am writing this letter to apply for faculty position in the department of Energy
and environmental engineering.
I have 2 yr postdoctoral research experience in gas phase CO2 electroreduction from chemical
engineering department, Lehigh University, USA. I also worked in liquid phase CO2 electro
reduction project, also have 1.5 yr postdoc research experience in chemical engineering
department, IIT Kharagpur on the job role to develop an electrochemical CO2 reduction catalyst
and Photochemical CO2 reduction catalyst. My PhD research, being done focuses on the
semiconductor nanoimaterials for electrocatalysis and photocatalysis in both theoretical (DFT
simulation) and experimental scale. During previous training periods, I had the opportunity to
work on different projects and I gained strong experience in various fields of nanomaterial
synthesis and assembly for the energy application.
I am currently Asst Prof in dept of chemical engineering, NIMS University (Rajasthan). Now I
wish to pursue my professional career in the field of nanomaterials and Energy science for
different applications of electrochemistry like battery, fuel cell, electrocatalysis, water splitting
etc and I feel motivated in gaining a strong experience as a faculty to supervise my further
research plan to graduate students. I would greatly appreciate if you provide me an opportunity
to work as a faculty in your institute.
