Wood Hiring for Engineering Manager at Abu Dhabi Full Time

Wood is currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager. This position is based in Abu Dhabi office and possible trips to Bahrain.

Competent at managing and leading a large multi-discipline Engineering Team Has sound knowledge and understanding of a Contract. Can identify and react appropriately to change Familiar with project work sequence, activities and deliverables for Engineering Disciplines at any project phase Ensure the project Quality Management System supports deliverables preparation and method of execution Generate and authorize key documents including those directing Engineering strategy and implementation Understand and manage the Technical Scope. Ensure instructions are issued to allow work to progress. Facilitate agreement between conflicting requirements and leads way forward Challenge working method and deliverables. Ensure project team know and comply with project scope Develop and manage the engineering input to the project schedule. Drive the Engineering Team to comply with the requirements, meet milestones and Key Performance Indicators, report on progress and willing to be held accountable to senior managers Ensure that requirements for Design Verification are identified, scheduled and resourced Understand the project Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) issues and ensures these are handled correctly Identify risk and implements mitigations Be the principal engineering interface between the company and the client in the assigned project Implement and manage the work share strategies in a multi-centre execution projects

Skills / Qualifications

Must hold Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from one of the following specialization Mechanical / Chemical 20 year experience in one or more of Oil & Gas, Refining or Petrochemical Industry Experience in Engineering Coordination and Management involving multidiscipline interface management, change management, Model reviews, work share management with reputed FEED / EPC Engineering consultants & Contractors Should have been in Project Engineering or Project Management Roles leading multi discipline Engineering team Should have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills Should be commercially astute and understand the different approaches required to managing lump sum and reimbursable work Should have experience predominately in home office Engineering Management with some site experience Company Overview
