Vistas Global Hiring for Head of Technical Department Job at Doha Full Time

We are looking to hire a qualified head of technical department to join our dynamic team.

The employee will be responsible to plan, organize, monitor and implement the tasks of the Technical Department and provide the necessary technical support to all departments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the manual of procedures and work policies for the department and updating it regularly.
• Supervise and monitor the development, modernization and maintenance of the database, software and systems of the company.
• Supervise and follow up on the development, updating and maintenance of the website.
• Take the necessary measures to protect the data and information on the company’s systems and programs (databases).
• Manage and preserve hardware, software and Internet passwords and prevent them from being shared by others
• Review and follow up maintenance contracts for the company’s hardware and software systems.
• Provide the necessary technical advice related to service standards to member companies.
• Supervise and follow up the preparation of technical materials for workshops and training courses in coordination with the Marketing and Sales Department.
• Participate in providing workshops and training.
• Participate in preparing the technical analysis.
• Supervise the follow-up of the necessary procedures for maintaining the server equipment and its accessories.
• Determine the technical specifications of the hardware and software to be purchased.
• Supervise the follow-up of the identification of computer extensions on the equipment and the identification of the equipment on the network
• Supervise and follow up on diagnosing computer hardware and software malfunctions, carry out maintenance on them, and maintain computer accessories such as printers, scanners, etc.
• Supervise and follow up the download and maintenance of the necessary programs.
• Provide technical support and training for the company employees and the customers as well.
• Participate in the field visit to companies.
• Prepare a training program to qualify the department’s employees in coordination with the HR Department.
• Evaluate the performance level of the department’s employees and raise recommendations in this regard.
• Prepare the technical requirements in line with the work of the company in terms of raising the quality of data and developing new software.
• Provide management with proposals related to developing work mechanisms and services provided by the company.
• Adhere to follow and implement policies and procedures for work and to cooperate with other departments.
• Save and archive paper and electronic data periodically and maintain its security and confidentiality.
• Provide a regular report on work achievements and any other necessary reports, and carrying out any tasks according to work requirements.
• Develop and grant user powers to member companies and adding data quality standards,
• Upload Companies and Product data in Cloud According to the working mechanisms approved by the company In cooperation with the Marketing and Sales or Customer Service Department.
• Manage the service of sending the data of companies and products on this website according to the working mechanisms approved by the company in cooperation with the Marketing and Sales or Customer Service Department.
• Develop the company database, the website, dealing with employee system programs, archiving, the financial system, incoming and outgoing, and the automated training system.
• Develop applications via smart phone for company services.

Requirements:

• Min. 5 years of experience working in a similar position.
• Min. 1 year experience in a management position.
• Min. Bachelors degree in IT or any related field.
• Skills in programming languages and website design and development
• Proficiency in computer applications, programming and management of information systems and networks
• Knowledge of the protection and security systems of computer devices
• Systems analysis skills
• Prepare and equip internal networks
• Supervisory skills and abilities (achieving management goals, overcoming work difficulties, managing work teams, transferring knowledge and training others, etc.)
• Preparing and writing technical and administrative reports, etc.
• Full knowledge of using Microsoft Office and any systems and programs related to the described duties.
• Analytical thinking, setting plans, reviewing, auditing and following up
• Ability to develop working methods, creativity and innovation
• Time management, organization and prioritization of work
• Excellent proficiency in verbal and written English
