Tyto Athene is seeking an experienced Lead ISP Engineer with a proven track record of successfully surveying and engineering facility solutions that adhere to the DISN-EN ICAN-DI and UCR Standards & Specifications. Tyto Athene is the Prime contractor on a multi-year Engineering and Implementation contract that covers numerous locations throughout Southwest Asia (SWA). This position would entail long-term travel to multiple military bases in the SWA theatre, starting primarily in Bahrain. The Lead Inside Plant (ISP) Engineer should have significant experience identifying remediation actions for, as well as engineering complete solutions for HVAC, electrical, grounding, UPS, environmental alarms, racking, cabling, and other facility systems required to bring telecommunications buildings into compliance with current standards and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design and oversight of the installation of telecommunications equipment and facilities
- Provides support for the customer’s electronics, civil, structural, and electrical engineering requirements as necessary
- Oversee and manage timely progress of the subcontractor engineering team responsible for the surveys and implementation
- Translates customer requirements into plans that culminate in delivering an engineered solution that meets all constraints
- Provides detailed written inputs for deliverables detailing engineered solutions on short turnaround
- Primary interface to work with various vendors in order to develop engineered solutions that can’t be engineered/implemented internally
- Functions as the Site Lead performing all local coordination, QA and reporting activities
- Responsible for providing the best solution possible for the lowest cost to the client
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (email) Visio & Power Point required
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance- BICSI RCDD Certified
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- Ten (10) years’ experience engineering on telecommunications projects of similar scope and complexity, inclusive of five (5) years’ experience engineering systems for DoD facilities
- Knowledge of architectural designs, building codes, construction safety principles
- Familiarity with the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) guidelines and requirements
- Must be physically and mentally capable of clearing CRC if not completed within 12 months prior to deployment
- Prefer having previously completed CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) processing within the last year, or having experience clearing previously
- Must be a US citizen
