Job Description
Nord Anglia Education has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an outstanding, internationally experienced leader in education to drive the ongoing success of one of the largest schools within the group, the British School of Kuwait (BSK).
The School We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Principal for one of the leading international schools in Kuwait. The school was established in 1978 as a kindergarten and Primary school, and after being renamed in 1993 it began to accept Secondary students.
It has now grown to a school of more than 3,500 with ambitions to grow beyond 4,000 students. Set across several buildings, it provides a quality British curriculum to all students from pre-nursery to year 13. The Early Years Centre is housed in a separate building known as The Sunshine Kindergarten (TSK).
It is an Association of British Schools Overseas member which allows it to run its highly successful NQT training programme providing overseas opportunities straight out of university. The school has a philosophy of offering a broad range of extra-curricular and enrichment activities in addition to excellent academic provision.
Additionally, as a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools, BSK draws on the strength of this forward-thinking, premium and contemporary global network of 76 schools, across 31 countries. The school actively engages in Nord Anglia’s collaboration with Juilliard, MIT, UNICEF and King’s College London, and benefits from access the organisation’s Global Campus. The Role We seek a talented and experienced leader in education to continue to build upon the school’s tremendous success to date. The Principal takes responsibility for the leadership, organisation and management of the whole school. The post-holder’s key deliverables are aligned with the annual school quality review and the school’s strategic plan. She/he must be an excellent communicator and compelling storyteller to ensure our new families understand our dynamic educational offer for their children, which will in turn drive strong student enrolment.
Key objectives include education quality and outcomes, student well-being, school growth, financial targets, staff development, and resource utilisation.
