SSH Design Hiring for Urban Designer at دبي, الإمارات العربية المتحدة Full Time

Responsibilities

Design across all phases of urban design and planning projects.

Creation of graphic content including analysis, diagramming, and visualization.

Conducting research and analysis that informs design and planning strategies and approaches.

Preparation of client presentations and reports.

Project narrative writing

Management of select project components.

Support of business development pursuits, including assistance in preparation of proposals, interviews, public presentations and other related marketing and press-related materials.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience, including experience in architecture, urban design and planning.

Experience in projects in the MENA region.

Bachelor’s degree in urban design, planning, architecture or landscape architecture.

A graduate degree in planning or urban design is preferred.

Professional certification and/or license in one or more of the following: AICP, NOMA, AIA, LEED or other pertinent credentials.

Design Excellence – Strong working knowledge of best practices related to urban design best practices and sustainable design solutions. Creative thinking abilities.

Flexibility – Ability to work with different teams in different time zones to effectively advance the design aspects of complex projects. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Communication – Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Graphic Communication Skills – High level of proficiency in the following: Hand Sketching, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Enscape or Lumion, Grasshopper scripting, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.

Proficient coding languages (Python, R, etc.) is preferred, not required.
