Job Summary:

Asst.Restaurant Manager is responsible for the sucessfull operations of the Restauarnt maintaining a profitable Food and Beverage department and high quality products and service levels. He/she is expected to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high..

Responsibilities

• Manage the day today operations of the outlet smoothly
• Proactively drive Guest Engagment and create great meal experiences for the guests
• Promote restaurant business and continually increase database contacts
• Ensure and promote compliance with all local liquor, health and sanitation regulations
• Manage and provide direction to all bar employees on the floor during shifts and events
• Ensure that staff receives consistent and proper communication
• Monitor departments performance with respect to the restaurant budgets
• Monitor and maintain proper inventory to ensure it’s in line with budgeted cost of sales
• Seek out and produce events to generate revenues for the property
• Hold staff accountable for giving an Engaging Dynamic Guest Experience to all guests on property
• Consistently monitor quality of service and product delivered on property
• Collaborate on needs of departmental staff scheduling
• Instruct staff in on-going training to uphold service standards
• Coordinate menu sponsorship deals and menu product placement
• Interview employees and provide input on talent selection
• Assess employee performance and provide feedback annually and throughout the year

What we are Looking For

• Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management
• Previous experience as a Supervisor / Asst Manager in Luxury Five Star Hotels
• Good Knowledge of FSMS
• HACCP and Health & Safety certificate
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills

The resort is only 15 minutes to Muttrah Souk, the old city of Muscat, the Ruwi business district, and within easy access to many local shopping and cultural attractions. Muscat International Airport is just 45 minutes away.
