JOB ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Manager Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) who will be in overall charge of the Riyadh Air ‘s EFB system and will be responsible for ensuring that any hardware and software conforms to the required specification, and that no unauthorized software is installed. He/she will also manage on budget and cost control on hardware ordering and new system integration

GENERAL ACTIVITIES

• Manage the EFB functions in both Aircraft and Ground based systems.
• Manage lifecycle of EFB applications from development to release including testing protocols, version upgrades, deployment strategy and communications plans.
• Manage all applications installed, provide support to the EFB users on these applications.
• Monitor and manage potential security and integrity issues associated with EFB and applications installed
• Management of hardware and software configurations and ensure that no unauthorised software is installed
• Ensure the integrity of the data packages used by the applications installed
• Manage technical and performance issues for both hardware and software aspects
• Assess and review the overall EFB program regularly and provide feedback to senior management for possible risks and formulate / review associated risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordination with vendors for feature development, issue management and support for Flight Critical applications.
• Provide new software and hardware version launch strategy
• Support in developing and administering appropriate quality processes pertaining to EFB
• Prepare EFB related training material and conduct related briefing or training to the end-users

Profile Requirements

Professional Experience

• Minimum 5 years in a Flight Operations division of an airline/OEM, preferably in the EFB Department.
• Proficient level knowledge of the EFB Systems on Ground and Aircraft
• Experience with Apple Business Manager, Mobile Device Management for iOS and Windows Device
• Familiar with EFB system (Airbus/Boeing) and distribution tools such as:
• Jeppesen CDAD, CAT, DDM,
• Boeing EFB Doc Browser (EDB).
• NavBlue FlySmart + suite,
• Airbus LPCNG, LSBM, GAS, ROE

Academic Qualifications

• Educated to a minimum of high school certification, University Degree is preferable
