We are now looking for a Designer/Draftsman, Electrical to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Reports To The Designer/Draftsman, Electrical reports to the appointed manager.
Job Overview The Designer/Draftsman, Electrical is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas. In your role, you will execute multiple projects (local and international) with the designer/engineering team and also you are responsible to prepare electrical engineering documents and drawings as required for the project and assigned by the manager. You should have a desire to be at the forefront of the oil and gas sector and deliver outstanding projects. Hunger for learning and sharing new ideas will be the cornerstone of your success. Responsibilities and Duties
- You will support the team on process industry-based project design work for smooth execution.
- To assist engineers/designers/design manager/discipline manager for the engineering design of the project.
- Ensure verification of source data, concept drawings/concepts as required.
- Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable in coordination with all relevant department/discipline, submission date as per Client / Contract requirements.
- Preparation of all I&A related design deliverables through MS-office, Smart plant tools (SP3D, SPI), AUTOCAD, NAVIS, Micro-station, PDS, PDMS, Aveva E3D, etc.,
- Review of the design document, drawings, etc. issued by various disciplines, design subcontractor,s and ensure client requirements.
- Support designer for Review meetings (3 D modeling, plot plan review, constructability study)
- Preparation of Material Take Off
- Overall responsible for inter-discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/ deliverables, and procedures to the Client.
- You have to work on the following IAE tools to perform designing and drafting activities for Design, Execution, and As-built.
- Smart Plant 3D (E& I Cable Trays & instrument Modeling, extraction of drawings)
- PDS (E& I Cable Trays & Equipment Modeling)
- Microstation – Expertise is mandatory
- AutoCAD – Expertise is mandatory
- NavisWorks
- DIALux
Qualifications
- Engineering Graduate (BSc) related degree with 5 years of oil & gas experience or Diploma with 8 yrs of oil & gas experience.
- Work experience in FEED and EPC projects (delivered to ADNOC Onshore) is a must
- Work experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in the English language. Arabic speaking added value
