Part A: Job Specification

Job Purpose

• Contribute and assist with the implementation of onshore well maintenance processes and support wellwork operations operated by Qatargas meeting the Company’s target in an engineered and in the most cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest level of safety, environmental and security compliance, avoiding any well control incident.

Reporting and Relationships – I

• Reports to Head of Well Operations

Internal

• Frequent contact with Onshore Operations, Well integrity Compliance, Petroleum Engineering, Maintenance, SEQ, Subsurface Data acquisition, Engineering and Supply Departments.

External

• Daily contact with Stakeholders, contractors and service companies.

Key Job Accountabilities – I

• Implement wellhead maintenance activities in Qatargas onshore wells to ensure a safe, reliable and efficient operation.

• Implement technology used for wellhead maintenance ensuring safety of Qatargas and contractor personnel exposed to hazardous toxic gas.

• Assist in ensuring proper programs, procedures and guidelines are followed to ensure safe and efficient wellhead maintenance and operation. Identify any significant findings during wellhead maintenance activities and report to Head of Operations.

• Check equipment, tools and consumables at the site to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and of adequate quantity. Update Senior Well Engineer or Well Engineering Specialist well on time in the event of any discrepancy or shortfall to ensure zero downtime.

Key Job Accountabilities – II

• Assist in conducting last minute Risk Assessment to ensure all risks are mitigated and are within acceptable limits. Conduct regular Tool Box Talks to ensure all crew members understand the operation and is aware of any potential risk and the mitigation measures.

• Compile daily reports in WellView in a timely manner to ensure all the relevant wellhead maintenance data and information is captured.

• Develop awareness of Qatargas Incident and Injury Free (IIF) Safety Culture with contractor and service personnel to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

• Maintain all time readiness for responding to any well control incident and implement Qatargas Well Control Plan Emergency Response Plan during a well control incident.

• Coordinate with Onshore Asset, Maintenance Project, Petroleum Engineering, SEQ, Warehouse and other disciplines to maximize well utilization, minimize well downtime and to avoid undue expenses.

Part B: Person Specification – Minimum Requirement

Qualifications

• HND in Engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge and/or Experience – I

• 5 years’ experience in well operations and maintenance in the oil and gas industry, including 1 year experience in rigless wellwork operations, either offshore or onshore wells.

• Knowledge and understanding of the following well engineering disciplines: Wellhead, Tree & Surface Equipment, Subsurface Equipment, Cased hole and Production Logging, Well and Tubular design, Rigless wellwork equipment including Pressure Control Equipment, Well Barrier requirement.

• Knowledge of software applications related to subsurface data acquisitions (Well View, POIS/RTIS).

• Familiar with Well Integrity Management: Sustained Casing Pressure Management, Wellhead/X-mas Tree and Down Hole Safety Valve Testing & Maintenance frequency.

Technical and Business Skills – I

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at several levels.
• Requires strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
