We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity in our Commercial team in Qatar as Senior Manager Commercial Business Intelligence (CBI). As the Senior Manager Commercial Business Intelligence (CBI) based in our Head Office in Doha, you will be responsible for supporting the development, planning and implementation of the commercial strategy, providing business analytics to maximize revenue, profit generation across the region, and ensure achievement of budget targets. You will lead and manage a team to provide data intelligence, analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders to support decision making for all commercial functions across the region. This represents a fantastic opportunity in a fast-paced environment in a leading Aviation group to contribute to our continued development and evolution. Specific Accountabilities include: Oversee a revenue portfolio of +$4bn. Collaborate with regional and HO leadership team to develop commercial strategy and feedback market insights to head office to support strategic target setting and decision-making. Collaborate with the sub-region CBI managers to coordinate commercial strategy across portfolio. Collaborate with CBI Central Planning team to coordinate global revenue opportunities and threats. Also to proliferate data, tools and techniques across the region. Translate the Global Commercial Strategy into strategic objectives for each point of sale, Distribution Channel and Customer segment. Support delivery of strategic innovation including new commercial solutions, products and analytics with the purpose of increasing penetration in existing customer segments and/or developing new ones. Identify, plan and implement sales process improvement projects by defining improvement targets and measuring the results. Act as the advocate of the region and engage on its behalf with the head office departments to ensure streamlined communication of all relevant commercial units and the field. Drive development of best practices approach for analytics and metrics through selection of the right people and tools alongside definition of effective processes. Define commercial long-term business objectives and KPIs and validate these with department heads / Executives. Provide holistic view and insight of local markets across region including, competitive landscape evolution and comprehensive analysis to support risk profile optimization and build on business opportunities. Lead initiatives to identify and provide detailed analysis of new business venture opportunities within the region. Ensure development and implementation of regional pricing strategies in conjunction with Head Office Commercial teams and the consistent implementation thereof. Manage Commercial projects across the region relating to the delivery of revenue results. Conduct frequent revenue performance reviews with key stakeholders within region. Identify areas of revenue leakage and develop and implement solutions to eliminate leakage. Drive budgeting process to support establishment of appropriate commercial targets within region. Support achievement of best return on investment when allocating cost of sale across channels factoring in respective channel targets for all Points of Sales. The successful person will have the following Minimum 10 years of job-related experience including strong experience in Commercial Management role within the Airline Industry. Experience in multi country responsibility and team leadership. Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree ideally in Aviation Management, Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, Engineering, Physics, Finance or any other relevant field with substantial quantitative exposure. Project Management Qualifications are preferable. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members. Strong Presentation skills, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Access and Power Point. Proficiency with Oracle Financials. Ability to present complicated financial concepts to non-finance individuals.
