Power International Holding Hiring for Material Engineer at Qatar Full Time

Job Location : Qatar

Responsibilities:

• Ensures compliance with specifications of all materials and legal requirements.
• Ensures accurate material test certification and valid certification documentation is available at all times.
• Coordinates and oversees all onsite material testing and ensures that all such testing with correct specification and codes.
• Develops an understanding of specifications and client requirements to allow research, design and development of materials and working practices to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Ensures understanding of the properties and benefits of different materials meaning to delivers innovative designs that can reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Awareness of all local and international specification codes.
• Establishes library of all requirements for ease of reference.
• Prepares and maintains detailed technical tracking schedules as per procedure.
• Establishes library of all requirements for ease of reference.
• Knowledge of Material Engineering parameters.
• Ensures for all submittals correct Engineering parameters are considered.
• In depth knowledge of specification requirements for material approval purposes.
• Ensures all submittals comply with Project and International specifications.
• Identification of compliant materials both locally and internationally.Knowledge of different assessment centre techniques such as role-plays, case studies, in-basket exercise, psychometric tests.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced, environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Strong intercultural competence.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP SuccessFactors or Oracle or MS Dynamics
• Working knowledge in Analytical tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qualtrics, Survey tools, or Project planning tools would be an added advantage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Material Management or Engineering
• Knowledge of all Local & International Specification Codes.
• Technical background and ability to prepare and maintain tracking schedules.
• Knowledge of Material Engineering, Material Products and Market Availability.
• Technical knowledge of Material Engineering parameters.
• Excellent knowledge of material availability, both local and international.
• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
