PURPOSE
Support Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited (PMPKL) management to develop and establish adequate controls and recommend changes to business processes and procedures that enhance and improve operational efficiency or the control environment. Attract and develop talent within the IC team.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Work closely with PMPKL management and regional IC management to ensure adequate internal control environment for PMPKL through structured planning, risk assessment, internal control reviews, development, implementation and monitoring of ongoing control activities and improvement of financial systems.
• Manage the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) program throughout PMPKL in coordination with relevant head of departments to develop / maintain / update SOX documentation and review test results and control deficiencies identified by the IC team. Manage and coordinate with PMPKL management governance reporting requirements to PMI, such as, PMI 32, PMI 36, PMI 13-C, 14-C and 17-C.
• Drive IC team towards creating control awareness within PMPKL through control activities, training and communication with staff at all levels including the interpretation and application of PMI Principles and Practices.
• Manage business process and control reviews and identify business and control risks. Advise and assist department heads on enhancement of controls and operational efficiency.
• Support the IS function for the management of SAP and ensure that business processes are properly controlled. This includes ensuring access requirements are in line with job responsibilities, proper segregation of duties (SOD) exists and optimal use is made of access controls (CSI SOD checks), configuration controls (preventive controls), and detective controls (control reports) are in place.
• Coordinate with PMI Corporate Audit, PwC, PMPKL and regional management to address control issues related to PMPKL and communicate PMPKL management plans and progress in response to audit observations or findings. Monitor the implementation of agreed management action plans identified during Internal Control reviews, PMI Corporate Audit and Local Pakistan PwC.
• Manage cross functional projects as requested by PMPKL management and develop and implement creative business solutions and ensure that adequate controls are maintained.
• Develop subordinates to enhance bench strength of the IC team. Provide coaching and specific developmental goals for each staff.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 4-6 years of relevant experience

EDUCATION

• A minimum of bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
