Petrogold Services Hiring for Chief Accountant (Philippines) Job at Doha Full Time

We are looking to hire a chief accountant to join our finance department and manage the major reporting and reconciliation duties of the company. The professional needs to mentor and train accounting team, lead month-end closing including plan, coordinate, schedule, and review financial operations, prepare monthly reporting package for senior management, answer to the queries that arise from the reporting package, incorporate daily monitoring and analysis to ensure balance sheet account reconciliations and check whether they are free of misstatements and errors, provide support in the analysis of development in GAAP, and support and function as a liaison with the IT team.

Responsibilities:

· Must have oversight of monthly close, reviewing journal entries, reconciliation, and variance explanation

· Ensuring all accounting transaction are performed correctly on time

· Confirm transaction are made accurately and entered in the accounting system

· Ensure suppliers invoice and reconciled and payments made

· Reconcile financial transaction every month

· Validate and reconcile inventory and fixed asset accounts

· Release employees EOSB and reconcile entries for EOSB provision

· Prepare the monthly cash requirement for FPIG and FPI Dubai

· Liaise with the department head to collect data for preparing budget and forecast

· Ensure collect data is loaded in analytical software

· Compare actual with a budget and determine the reason for the variances monthly

· Prepare year-end financial statement

· Ensure weekly bank reports generated by the IT department are properly reconciled with the bank statement

· Prepare a report for the finance management team

· Check cost centre expenses and compare them against budget

· Validate online expense claim and process forward for approval

· Count petty cash weekly.

Skills and Qualification:

· Bachelor degree in accounting is required, Masters preferred

· Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in general or tax accounting

· Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill

· Expert in the computer ledger system

· Advanced knowledge of excel and familiar with SAP 6.0 plus

· Able to function in a team and possess the strong problem-solving skill

· CPA certification preferred

· Strong financial accounting experience and public accounting experience preferred

· Excellent communication and presentation skill is required

· Expert handling large ERP and reporting packages
