NEOM Hiring for Senior Manager, Sustainability Expert t الرياض السعودية Full Time

Role Purpose:

Drive strategy, compliance and company direction and performance in the area of sustainability & ESG.

Responsibilities & Activities:

• Drive data collection within the areas of circular economy, energy performance, climate change, e-waste, ICT as a driver of sustainable cities and society and set performance targets.
• Interface with internal NEOM stakeholders and initiatives to ensure compliance and fulfillment of sustainability & ESG requirements.
• Train and direct personnel to ensure integrity of environmental data for the purpose of internal and external reporting.
• Secure that data and reports are available for submittal to internal and external stakeholders e.g., customers, investors, regulatory agencies, and organizations.
• Initiate and support key customer engagements to support the business, explore new business models considering sustainability, and to support overall revenue generation and growth.
• Drive innovation, strategies, targets and requirements as well as leading cross Tonomus projects/programs to improve portfolio sustainability performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Performance management around sustainability and ESG.
• Must have comprehensive and diverse knowledge in environmental topics and regulations.
• Familiar with major global ESG initiatives such as GRI, XXX.
• Business development and strategy mindset.
• Ability to implement cross-functional programs and initiatives, including technical portfolio and project management.
• General Governmental and policy knowledge around sustainability and ESG.
• Ability to adapt communication skills to audience, executives and C-levels and customers.
• Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization and across all business functions.
• Knowledge and understanding of emerging issues both internally and externally.
• Working knowledge and experience with Environmental Management Systems, including sites, life cycle management.
• Strong network in environmental field.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, a technical discipline, sustainability, strategy or the equivalent level of knowledge
• 10+ years work experience with sustainability in a corporation
• Knowledge of Sustainable Development Goals as well as specific sustainability issues such as climate change, energy performance, hazardous substances, social inclusion, and sustainable cities
• Experience and knowledge of major global policy and legislative initiatives such as COP28 and the global climate negotiations,
• Working knowledge & experience of technology’s role in addressing sustainability challenges, including Sustainable Cities
• International experience and mindset are necessary including travel, knowledge and respect of global cultures
• Demonstrated attributes such as trust, confidentiality, and professionalism when working with C-level executives

External: Various global reporting initiatives, standardization and industry fora, government agencies, customers and potential customers, suppliers, partners
