National Foods Limited Hiring for Assistant Manager Back Process at Karāchi, Sindh, Pakistan Full Time

Job Responsibilities

• Manage production, material flow, and inventory to meet cost, quality, and production targets of assigned lines
• Assist in the development of manufacturing schedules, procedures, and allocation of resources by working with the Operations Manager
• Able to lead the manufacturing process with 5 direct and 100 plus in-direct shop floor workers/operators.
• Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets align with business and sales objectives by regularly monitoring production against set targets and ensuring inventory levels are neither excessive nor have material shortages
• Prioritize and manage production downtimes by liaising with the Maintenance team to be aware of maintenance timings
• Lead, evaluate, and develop back process and grinding specialists, mentoring them on root cause analysis, process improvement methods, and productivity efficiency techniques, instilling best practice procedures into everyday activities and able to manage shift by ensure equal work load is assigned to all shifts.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and rectify inefficiencies, aiming to increase both the Global Efficiency (GE) and the Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of production machinery
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) methodologies to identify and reduce operational losses in Back Process & Grinding areas
• Implement, monitor, and refine smart Kaizen initiatives, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement is fostered and maintained to minimize operational losses
• Regularly analyze and monitor the Cost Tracking report, identifying cost trends and collaborating with the operational team for insights to find areas for cost savings
• Develop, deploy and improve daily production tracking report with all KPIs displayed for tracking and sharing.
• Ensure the production floor is compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), quality standards, and plant production schedule
• Ensure the maximum utilization of production space while complying with ISO, GMP, and company standards
• Uphold and reinforce global health and safety standards throughout the back process and grinding operations, ensuring a risk-free environment that complies with international regulatory standards
• Address audits from external bodies and internal protocols, resolving observations by producing the required documentation in a timely manner
• Guide the goal-setting process for direct reports, evaluating their performance against established objectives, and identifying areas for further training and skill development
• Keep track of maintenance compliances of the equipment and liaison with the maintenance department for execution.
• Keep track on the consumables and liaison with the engineering store and procurement to ensure sufficient inventory is maintained.
• Keep abreast with the latest developments in back processes and management to ensure the NFL maintains a best-practice approach at all times
• Coach, mentor and guide direct reports and make their training needs analysis.
