Our Client Company is looking for a Civil & Structural Engineer (oil & gas and water treatment projects ) with the following details :
Location: Abu Dhabi
Assignment : Direct Hire
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor design output of Design consultants, anticipate issues in meeting milestones or budgets and coordinate with Head of Departments, Projects Managers to resolve problems
- Assist to weekly projects design meetings to monitor progress of civil and building design
- Address RFIs and queries, in collaboration with client company’s Technology discipline leads, and ensure prompt and accurate replies are provided back to consultants and contractors
- Review structural designs deliverables of the client company’s design consultants to ensure that they meet industry standards for safety and quality
- Provide technical support for engineering projects teams such as managing project budgets, scheduling, and procurement of materials
- Contribute to 30%, 60% and 90% model reviews
- Assist in pricing construction of the design, by providing Bill of quantities and liaise as necessary with design contractors during pre-consultation, tender, design and construction phases
- Implement “Autodesk take-off” module by ensure proper coding (uniformat) of model elements, suggest and implement any specific “5D” tool use as the client company’s standard
Qualifications Required:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s degree in civil engineering
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in design of industrial projects in Water Treatment Business – International large size project experience
- Knowledge of industry practices, codes and standards applicable to structural engineering
- Hands on experience in industry software, such as STAAD Pro, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk civil 3D, Model Review Tools (ACC & Navisworks), Foundation 3D, MS Office Suite, etc.
- Computer Literate. Microsoft office tools, management of remote teams using Autodesk Construction Cloud
