Scope of Position

The Driver handles all outdoor activities, picking up the deliveries from suppliers, coordination and support to receiving, stores and purchasing as instructed by Purchasing Manager. To ensure accurate logistics of picking up purchases and deliveries, as well as to manage the transportation.

Responsibilities 

• Drive the trucks or light vehicle to pick up purchases and delivery to the hotel.
• Develop and maintain a proper logistics for delivery / pick up within Oman.
• Deal with customs and clearing cargo.
• Deal with suppliers and assurance of safe logistics and handling.
• Cooperate with suppliers on delivery schedule and logistics.
• Timely and well planned for delivery pick-up from suppliers.
• Operate and safeguard the company vehicles and their conditions.
• Ensure there are no traffic fines or vehicle damages.
• Full compliance with Oman traffic laws.
• To manage and proper documented maintenance of the vehicles – cycles, repairs and yearly registration.
• Keep track of vehicle usage, fuel, logs and keys.
• Assist the Store Clerk on monthly inventory count for stores.
• Assist the Receiving Clerk when there are multiple deliveries to clear the loading bay.
• Assist the stores, receiving and purchasing to plan for an effective and efficient operation.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
