Candidate will be responsible for the following activities and wherever he /she need any support or clarification, they can consult Head of Audit
and Group Internal Audit Director and their work will also be supervised, reviewed and approved by Head of Audit and Group Internal Audit
Director.
Carry out operational audits to ensure compliance with company guidelines / policies and effectiveness of internal controls environment.
Carry out audit activities of underwriting, claims settlements, provisions for technical reserves, reinsurance, solvency margin, investments
and financial reporting processes etc. in order to provide assurance that major business are being managed appropriately.
Ability to review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls environment (manual and automated controls).
Responsible for ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.
Responsible for performing audit activities (i.e. Planning, Fieldwork, Reporting and closing out etc.) in line with agreed internal audit plan,
approved internal audit templates and reporting standards. Ability to draft audit programs (i.e. defined design & operating effectives procedures
for auditable operations & processes).
Must be able to identify control weakness, improvement areas, draft preliminary observations, recommendation for improvement discuss
and agree these with auditee. Must able to finalize the draft audit report and present this to Group Internal Audit Director / Group Deputy
Internal Audit Director for their review
Follow up on prior audit observation / issues and work with issue owners to ensure timely implementation.
Review all operational areas for their stewardship of resources and compliance with established policies, procedures and internal regulations.
Assist Head of Internal Audit in developing risk-based annual internal audit plan.
Assist Head of Internal Audit in carrying out Non – Audit assignments work.
Assist Head of Internal Audit in carrying out whistleblowing / special investigation, if required.
Assist Head of Internal Audit in preparing quarterly audit and controls committee pack, if required.
Contribute and/or lead ad hoc projects to support the development Internal Audit function in line with strategy and/or changes in the external
market, regulation or best practice.
Able to review the adequacy and effectiveness of controls in the IT system for ensuring reliability and integrity of information and to review
system’s efficiency and effectiveness in timely generation of reports and financial statements for submission to management and regulatory
authorities.
Assist on departmental initiatives/projects when needed.
Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with the Group audit colleagues and other senior managers, to encourage the early and
open discussion of issues arising and joint commitment to problem solving.
Ensure compliance with the Group Internal Audit Policy and best audit practices throughout the auditing process.
Ensure compliance with Insurance Code of Corporate Governance for Insurance Companies and Global Internal Audit Standard issued by
IIA.
Knowledge and experience of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Auditing Standard.
