Position: Quantity Surveyor

Role Description:

The Quantity Surveyor will manage all facets of the projects across various construction sites, guaranteeing safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications. An ideal fit would be someone with extensive experience in the construction, possessing impeccable communication and leadership qualities, and adept at multitasking in high-pressure environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Generate detailed construction project estimates.
• Formulate multi-discipline conceptual, detailed, and definitive cost estimates for company capital projects.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with the defined scope of work.
• Engage with multiple departments to discuss project scope, estimate foundation, and provide insights on company estimation techniques.
• Support project management and contract teams during bid evaluations and contract discussions.
• Collaborate on company estimation techniques and guidelines.
• Stay updated on advancements in estimation through literature, contractor interactions, site visits, and attending relevant seminars.
• Evaluate and finalize incoming Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
• Analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications to devise manufacturing process flows.
• Using feedback from Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Design, and Manufacturing teams, draft technical proposals.
• Aid in the decision-making process for in-house production or external procurement.
• Work with engineers to determine necessary machinery operations, tools, materials, and gauges.

Strategic Cost/Price Planning:

• Best Value and LPTA evaluations
• Subcontractor Cost and/or Price Analysis
• Specific opportunity/market cost/price evaluations
• Strategic and tactical industry positioning concerning cost/price
• Design tailored forecasting tools (including Bid and Proposal, EAC, and ROI models)
• Internal ‘Price to Bid’ analysis

Business and Cost/Price Volume Support:

• Oversee the entirety of cost/price volume – from conception to color team reviews
• Aid in documenting Certified Cost and/or Pricing Data
• Independently review subcontractor cost/price volumes
• Provide Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BoE) services
• Ensure compliance in all reviews
• Create cost/price volume executive summaries and visual aids

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years in a comparable role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other relevant management software
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
