1. Supervises, lead and assist in the daily activities of the staff. Assigns and schedules staff in coordination with the Manager.
2. Assists staff in solving operational and professional problems.
3. Participates in conducting performance appraisals. Counsels employees as needed.
4. Checks work of staff to ensure that policies and procedures are observed, and that work meets all prescribed safety procedures and acceptable professional standards.
5. Ensures that record keeping meets established pharmacy standards.
6. Assists in liaising with medical and nursing staff regarding medication related issues.
7. Participates in quality improvement activities in assigned area.
8. Participates in documenting competency assessment tool in assigned area.
9. Assists with organizational projects as required.
10. Supervises and precept new pharmacy staff, students, residents and other trainees.
11. Participates in the orientation of other hospital staff (physicians, nurses).
12. Ensures that a proper inventory of supplies is maintained.
13. Participates in self and others education, training, and development as applicable.
14. Follows all related General Organization’s policies and procedures.
Four (4) years in hospital Pharmacy / relevant retail experiences with Master’s Degree / Pharm.D (Non-North American approved program); or Six (6) years of similar requirements with Bachelor’s Degree. Or; Two (2) years of similar requirements with North American accredited Pharm.D. Program non-North American accredited Pharm.D.
