Title: Motor Transport Mechanic – Kuwait The Prepositioning and Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy. We are accep t ing resumes for a Motor Transport Mechanic for our Kuwait location. Position Responsibilities A Heavy Equipment Mechanic under supervision will be capable of maintaining, servicing, inspecting and repairing all Marine Corps variants of tactical motor transport vehicles, trailers and comparable vehicles such as light combat vehicles, as well as other medium and heavy motor transport equipment (HMMWV, MTVR, LVSR, MRAP, etc.). – Performs limited technical inspections with the receiving units and upon return of the assets to include the SL-3 inventories. – Ensures equipment is Ready For Issue, if necessary identifies the corrective maintenance actions and creates a maintenance service request in Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). – Capable of performing Quality Assurance (QA) inspections on Motor Transportation equipment when maintenance is complete. Will provide technical assistance, guidance, or training to Maintenance Helpers and other mechanics. – Operates organic ground motor transportation and material handling equipment to include but not limited to MMV, TRAMs, MTVRs and AMK31s when needed to complete the mission. – Ensures hazardous materials used are properly separated, stored, and labeled. – May be required, as requested by management, to plan, prioritize and organize section work plans, tasks, verify the work/process is completed, maintain scheduled production data, report work and manpower status and verify accuracy of administrative data. – Will be required to enter all maintenance activities performed into the Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps. – Other duties as assigned.
