Drilling foreman will have direct field responsibility of onshore and/or offshore for the execution of drilling, completion or workover of wells located anywhere in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its territorial waters as specified in the well drilling or workover program. Drilling foreman will take the lead in verifying and approving all rig operations programs, to ensure operations are conducted in a safe and cost-effective manner. Also, will coordinate with other functions within the group to ensure that all critical safety related equipment and verification activities are actioned as necessary, and provide direction and manage technical and feasibility studies, procedure and specification development and operational priorities (daily), as well as leading task teams during critical or emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
BS Degree in engineering preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical with 07 years’ experience in Drilling and workover foreman position (Laisonman) included 04 years as senior foreman.
High School Graduate or other degree with + 13 years’ experience in Drilling and workover foreman position included 04 years as senior foreman.
Proven job knowledge to handle operational responsibilities on critical wells as outlined above and demonstrated personnel attributes of sound judgment.
Should be imaginative, innovative, energetic and a leader capable of supervising, advising and motivating others.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The D&WO Foreman has a diverse set of responsibilities which are very critical in achieving safe drilling and workover operations. On Contractor operated rigs, the Foreman is the primary liaison between company and the Contractor. Since his responsibilities are numerous and diverse, the following are the main duties:
Performs Unit level supervisory function at all well locations remote to Operations headquarters including deep water Red Sea on a 24-hour per day basis, 14 days on duty, 7 days off work schedule. Incumbent will be responsible to execute all operations work in deep water (Red Sea) and both offshore and onshore highpressure high temperatures wells and wildcat wells.
Directs all well operations expediently, safely and according to accepted industry practices as outlined and specified in the well Drilling program issued by the Drilling Engineering Dept.
Co-ordinates the timely ordering of required well materials, equipment and services according to the well program. Documents the receipt, usage and transfer of company supplied materials and equipment. Reviews service company field tickets for accuracy of services provided and associated charges.
Ensures that company’s Blowout Prevention Standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing and crew 70057694 – Sr Liaisonman – Critical Drlg. Ops Page 2 / 3 response. Assures that rig and personnel comply with company’s established safety standards and procedures.
