The Legal Associate will provide expert legal advice and support to the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, managing legal risks, and supporting various departments with legal matters.
Responsibilities
Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice to senior management, interpreting laws and regulations.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor legislative changes to ensure organizational compliance with all applicable laws.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks within the organization.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Manage litigation processes and liaise with external legal counsel as needed.
Corporate Governance Advisory: Advise on corporate governance matters and assist in preparing and filing corporate documents.
Policy Development: Develop and implement organizational policies, ensuring they comply with legal requirements.
Training and Development: Conduct legal training for employees and mentor junior legal staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department.
Licensure: Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
