ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Events Director will oversee the planning, execution, and management of various event within our organization. You will lead a team of Event Managers and Specialists, ensuring the successful delivery of various projects, while also managing proposals for new business that 54 can execute.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the planning and execution of event, ensuring they align with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Timely laying of groundwork to make sure events can launch with certainty regarding dates and venue
• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of Event Managers and Executives.
• Conduct regular team meetings, set performance goals, and provide feedback for improvement.
• Collaborate with internal departments to schedule and plan event assignments, including logistics, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Work closely with external vendors to negotiate contracts, secure necessary services, and coordinate event logistics.
• Review event contracts in detail with senior management, ensuring clarity and accuracy of terms and conditions.
• Ensure that contractual terms, including payment terms and dates, are adhered to throughout the event lifecycle.
• Monitor expenses and labor costs to meet budget parameters while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor the delivery of all goods and services to ensure that contractual terms and client expectations are met or exceeded.
• Address and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during events.
• Prioritize client satisfaction by maintaining open communication and providing solutions to enhance the event experience.
• Prepare and submit all necessary documentation and post-event reports to the relevant departments promptly.
• Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and reconciliation of event expenses.

SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/APTITUDES NEEDED:

• Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and guide your team effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of event planning, logistics, and execution, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, events, and direct reports simultaneously in a fast paced environment
• Proficiency in contract negotiation, review, and compliance, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Knowledge of vendors, suppliers, and pricing benchmarks for event requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
• Extremely organized and self-motivated, with a track record of taking the initiative
• The ability to identify and resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.

• Annual Discretionary Company Bonus – up to 8% – 3% Company & 5% Individual
• 24 days annual leave
• Working hours will be from 09.00 to 17.30 Sunday to Thursday with an hour taken for lunch between 12.00 and 14.00
