The Senior Officer – Accounting is responsible for analysing accounting data and preparing reports on campus financials. He/she is also responsible for performing campus-specific accounting activities. Main Responsibilities Operational
Identify relevant financial data sources, select appropriate methods of data collection and data analysis, and report on conclusions, implications and recommendations as needed.
Develop and maintain detailed and accurate records for all financial transactions in an organised and professional manner.
Handle journal entries for the campus in compliance with international practice and Central Services guidelines.
Handle campus account receivables including managing receivables, cash collection, and maintaining campus data with information required.
Handle campus account payables including processing invoices, expenses, payments, and managing vendor liability.
Provide required financial data to Central Services to consolidate campus financial information into master database.
Coordinate with Internal Audit and external auditors to provide them with relevant data and information in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with documentation and implementation of accounting and control policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Business, Accounting.
Full English proficiency is required.
Advanced computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office.
Experience
Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance.
