*Position Summary:*
The Air Compressor Systems Aftermarket Service Technician will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and support to our customers by performing system overhauls, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for air compressor systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
*Responsibilities:*
• Conduct comprehensive system overhauls and refurbishments for air compressor systems to extend their operational lifespan and optimize performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and scheduled service tasks on air compressor systems to ensure their reliable and efficient operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to air compressor systems, including identifying root causes, recommending solutions, and implementing repairs.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their specific needs and provide tailored solutions, including upgrades, retrofits, and enhancements to existing air compressor systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers over the phone, through email, and in person, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Document service activities, including detailed reports on maintenance, repairs, parts replacements, and system upgrades.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in air compressor systems to continuously improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the sales team to identify potential aftermarket service opportunities and contribute to the growth of our service business.
*Qualifications:*
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
• Proven experience in servicing, overhauling, and troubleshooting air compressor systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while also being a team player.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to customer sites when required.
