Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Implement strategic plans to improve production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility.
• Work closely with the Production Supervisor in overseeing production staff in a growing CNC Machining environment.
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
• Monitor the project plan related to the flow of materials, inventory, and timing of manufacturing operations.
• Manage the manufacturing team to ensure that the operation maintains a safe and environmentally compliant work environment
• Develop and set short and long-term KPI targets.
• Explore and implement innovative methods of manufacturing processes to reduce cost and improve quality of the product.
• Assuring all transactions and procedures are accurate and timely to maintain proper labor and material accounting.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to design, specify and validate world-class manufacturing processes to achieve cost, quality and capacity goals.
• Understanding and supporting company policies, being an example of leadership to others in the department.
• Address employee concerns and issues in a proper and respectful manner.
• Communicate with HR regarding personnel needs, concerns, and assistance.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management is a plus.
• Experience with CNC Machines is preferred.
• 10 years of related Manufacturing Management experience.
• Significant years of experience in Metal / Glass / Steel works would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, and resource allocation)
• Direct machining experience in CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Swiss etc. is preferred.
• Understanding of GD&T and inspection practices is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent leadership skills and prepared to be hands-on.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts using all units of measure.
• Prior experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Excel to compile and present data in visual formats.

Working Conditions:

• Metal shop environment
• Able to lift to 40 pounds
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
