The role:

As part of our Marketing team, you will work in a dynamic environment to accelerate our business and evolve the go-to market strategy by engaging with our partners, developing our existing accounts or breaking new ground by gaining further business opportunities.

Gloss is looking to hire a Business Development Manager with proven ability to effectively sell branding, web design, and digital marketing services.

This role will suit an ambitious individual with experience in a business development role and an interest in marketing as well as strong business and communication skills. The successful applicant will be joining an ambitious agency, and will be able to have a real impact on the future of the agency over the coming years.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with our marketing team to drive enablement and lead generation activities
• Identifying new partnerships or business opportunities, pitch Gloss’s services and close deals
• Building great relationships both on an executive, as well as on an individual level
• Researching potential prospects based on pre-defined targeting criteria
• Engaging with and building relationships with potential prospects across multiple channels (email, phone, LinkedIn etc)
• Organising calls and meetings with potential prospects
• Researching and engaging with potential business partners across multiple channels
• Identify partnership opportunities
• Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
• Maintain existing business
• Think critically when planning to assure project success

To be successful our candidate will:

• 4+ years experience in a business development role, with a successful track record of driving new sales opportunities
• An ambitious person with significant drive to build up new business
• An entrepreneurial individual with a “can-do” mindset
• Results-oriented to be able to see beyond their own problem space and dependencies to find solutions
• A challenger who never misses an opportunity to disrupt the industry and embraces change

Advantageous:

• 4+ years of relevant sales, partner or business development experience within E-commerce or digital marketing & retail, alternatively marketing
• Bachelor’s degree in business or other related fields
• Great presentation and interpersonal skills
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
