GK International Hiring for Lifting Operations Specialist at Sohar, Al Batinah North, Oman Full Time

About the Role

GK International seeks an experienced Lifting Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will be based at our Sohar, Oman location and will be part of our Package PMT team reporting directly to our Construction Head.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all lifting operations are conducted safely and in accordance with TotalEnergies / NOC General Specifications, relevant codes (AISC, API, ASME, ASW, ISO).
• Review and approve all lifting plans, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and regulations.
• Lead CTRs in the development of generic and specific JSA for non-critical and critical lifting operations.
• Conduct regular inspections of lifting equipment and ensure they are properly maintained and certified.
• Provide technical advice to CPY teams and ensure the correct implementation of the Permit to Work system.
• Participate in audits of lifting operations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering and construction.
• OPITO certifications: LCP (LOLER Competent Person), Banksman Slinger OPITO Level 3 or 4, Rigger OPITO Level 3 or 4, Rigging Loft Management, NSL LEI-6 Lifting Equipment Inspection.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level.
