Role Description

We’re looking for experienced and highly competent backend software engineers to join our elite team. This role is crucial in developing the backbone of our latest AI engine, which is designed with an event-driven microservices architecture with scalability and high performance in mind. The backend software engineer will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks related to back-end software development. This is a hybrid role based in Muscat, with flexibility for some remote work.

• Design and Develop: Take charge of constructing the backend for our state-of-the-art AI engine, enhancing its capability to perform under complex, high-demand scenarios.
• Implement and Optimize: Employ cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to build resilient, scalable microservices.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work alongside the team of software development and AI experts dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI technology.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Proven Expertise in Microservices: Demonstrable experience in designing, implementing, and managing applications with an event-driven microservices architecture.
2. RESTful APIs Mastery: Proficient in integrating and consuming RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless communication within microservices ecosystems.
3. Advanced Testing Skills: Skilled at testing and debugging microservices to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
4. IAM Solutions: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with IAM solutions like Keycloak.
5. Python Proficiency: Strong expertise in Python, particularly in developing RESTful APIs using the FastAPI framework.
6. Database Management: Proficient with MongoDB and Redis for efficient data storage and retrieval.
7. Docker and Docker Swarm: Experience in containerization and orchestration for microservices deployment and management.
8. Message Brokering: Experience working with RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or similar technologies to manage asynchronous data flow between services.
