JOB PURPOSE:
Provide specialist support in achieving operational excellence by contributing and managing cost optimization projects, programs and (new) initiatives and Knowledge Management (Best Practice Sharing) and thereby contribute to achievement of continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
·Provide insight, analysis and reports on retail business services & products.
·Coordinates inception of new products and services to maximize profitable revenue. Assigns system codes for new products and services.
Operational Excellence
·Lead the conducting of effective business planning and performance review through the implementation and continuous development of the Retail Group business cycle and the related systems, processes and performance measures, activities and reporting.
·Identify and recommend systematic improvement opportunities; design and drive implementation across departments as guided by management.
·Organize and facilitate improvements events; analyze realization of metrics and targets upon completion.
·Ensure Follow up and reporting of day to day operations of continuous improvement by the use of various reports and metrics to manage the continuous improvement programs.
·Manage the costs optimization plan, that includes actions and roadmap, that is translated into monetary benefits and monitor spending plans and phasing to support successful execution of plans.
Market Intelligence
·Keep abreast of new regulations/ policies that may affect the investments and proactively carry out research in to prevailing market trends / strategies and strengthen market intelligence of team in order to facilitate management decision-making in determining market opportunities and development metrics.
Analysis
·Supervise the analysis of the Retail Group business performance data for the assigned market (results, plans, execution, design and organization) to provide comprehensive reports to support strategic management decision making.
·Collaborate with Retail Management to identify the business needs and understand the business processes in order to facilitate the effective development of required business solutions.
·Develop functional specifications for business processes and report according to user requirements and standards and share with Management to facilitate review and implementation of initiatives.
·Generate high quality periodic and ad hoc reports for line and senior management review and effective decision-making process.
Cost Control
·Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
·Develops standard procedures to manage and maintain business operational and financial objectives.
·Help monitor all operating expenses and ensure control verses agreed budgets to ensure costs are within agreed parameters.
·Conduct peer group research and gather information using online and offline information sources and produce data to support management and colleagues in peer group analysis across segments.
Process Optimization
·Identify and implement business process improvements and efficiencies that support Retail group business performance, improve customer satisfaction and drive innovation and growth.
·Provides support to retail group regarding the identification of Key Business Processes and to facilitate from initiation stage till finalization of process aligning it with other related documents.
·Apply structured problem-solving efforts and track trends to identify barriers to effective and efficient performance and areas for possible optimization.
·Identify critical areas where there is a business need to execute improvement projects by supporting the Business Process Optimization Manager in facilitating sessions with relevant employees.
Reporting
·Establish reports and insights, in line with strategy and guidelines, to capture most important findings ready for communication towards management.
·Prepare relevant materials for meetings and presentations, in line with the agreed-upon content to ensure that the information shared is relevant, correct and timely available.
