EY Rapid Innovation

As a Multinational Member Firm in the EY network, Rapid Innovation, based in Karachi, exclusively provides its services to MENA based EY Member Firms to support audit and non-audit engagements across the MENA region, excluding Pakistan. The work is executed remotely by working virtually with our MENA onshore teams and sometime may require travel to MENA EY offices.

The opportunity

Rapid Innovation is looking to recruit a Data Analyst in Karachi Pakistan.

Your key responsibilities

You will support the MENA practice in data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of large volumes of financial data. You will also assist with the analysis of external, MENA based, financial audit engagements. You will be required to work effectively as a virtual team member, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress.

Possessing very good communication skills and the ability to work closely with the assurance team and supporting in delivering data analytics on audit engagements will be essential for this role.

This role will be done both remotely and through travel to MENA offices.

You will also help prepare for virtual meetings, participate in these meetings, and assist in preparing for these meetings where required.

You will be expected to actively establish internal relationships and where possible identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate. You’ll confirm that the work you deliver is of high quality.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Strong academic record, including a bachelor’s degree in STEM subjects, or a professional accounting qualification
• At least one year of professional experience in a similar role
• Fluent English communication skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good writing and oral Communication skills
• Knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, and other data management tools (ETL)
• A very good eye for detail (quality driven)
• Ability to work in different time zones and travel on a need basis
• Proficiency in MS office
