Job Title: NetApp Engineer Job Location: Bahrain This position requires working a 70 hour work week Job Responsibilities: Provide development and content administration functions and propose innovative solutions leveraging existing collaborative tools, used by US Army, to facilitate file sharing, content sharing, web portal, Google App, and other enterprise-level IT services that enable secure end-to-end communication across the organizations Install and configure NetApp Fabric Attached Storage (FAS) storage, i.e. cabling, network configuration, basic system information, etc. Design and implement storage layout, i.e. aggregate and Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) group configuration Configure for best performance and reliability Implement cluster failover Create and configure Volumes, Qtrees Configure advanced single instance storage (deduplication) Configure Common Internet File System (CIFS) and integrate with Active Directory Create and manage quotas Configure Network File System (NFS) and present storage to Virtual Machine (VM) VMware Elastic Sky X (ESX)/ESXi hosts Configure SnapMirror and SnapVault Create and configure Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) Logical Unit Number (LUNs) and present storage to Windows hosts Install and configure Snapdrive, SnapManager for Exchange, Search and Query Language (SQL) and Sharepoint, Single Mailbox Restore, on Windows servers, configure backups and perform restores as needed, integrate with SnapMirror Install and configure Virtual Storage Console (VSC) for VMware vCenter integration. Configure ESX/ESXi hosts for recommended configuration for NetApp storage Configure virtual machine backups using VSC as well as perform restores as needed. Integrate backups with SnapMirror Install and configure NetApp Operations Manager/OnCommand Provide day to day administrative support, monitoring, and issue resolution Update Data Ontap, VSC, SnapDrive, SnapManager, OnCommand and other NetApp software Provide the following functions to include but are not limited the following services, systems and applications: Day-to-day monitoring and maintenance, capacity management, access management. Manage all forms of content. Make the information available securely and efficiently at every phase of its life cycle Support process modeling and workflows Support the organization to monitor work in progress and enable historical analysis to drive process improvement Visual Studio Designer Aggregation of information from different source to provide a meaningful content.
