Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Chemist to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your professional career within a Global TIC business.
In this role ,you will be responsible for assisting the Laboratory Manager in managing technical perspective of Chemistry operations
This role will be based in Doha , Qatar
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert knowledge and support to the chemistry Department
- Operate, calibrate and oversee ICP / AAS operations
- Perform general inorganic chemistry testing,primarily with metal samples
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Apply and use international methods such as ASTM, BS and APHA etc.
- Apply lab quality management system through ISO 17025 standards and total quality management
Skills / Qualifications:
- Graduation in Chemistry5 year experience as food / water chemist within a commercial testing laboratory or equivalent
- 2 year experience in ICP / AAS analytical testing methods and familar with all methods of wet analysis & test data validation methods
- Ability to establish root cause analysis of incorrect data
- Teamworker with effective communication skills ,able to prioritise and manage a number of projects and/or work streams simultaneously
