Overview
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing and coordinating patient care, educating patients and the public about various health conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients and their families.
Key responsibilities
Assessing and recording symptoms and vital signs of patients.
Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
Administering medications and treatments.
Monitoring and operating medical equipment.
Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Counseling patients on nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
Documenting patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
Assisting with diagnostic tests and analysis of results.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.
Ensuring compliance with nursing care regulations and safety standards.
Performing wound care and other specialized procedures.
Keeping up to date with medical advancements and treatment options.
Participating in research and quality improvement activities.
Supervising and mentoring nursing assistants and other staff.
Providing input into patient care plans and policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Valid nursing license and registration.
CPR and Basic Life Support certification.
2+ years of clinical nursing experience.
Proficient in medical software and electronic health records.
Strong understanding of nursing principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of infection control and safety measures.
Ability to provide emotional support to patients and families.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
Attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
