The client, a rapidly expanding and entrepreneurial global marketplace for selling automotive parts, is actively seeking a visionary Chief Logistics Officer to lead their logistics operations and spearhead their expansion into Europe and the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Chief Logistics Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing a comprehensive logistics strategy to support the client’s international expansion. Key responsibilities include:

Global Supply Chain Optimization:

• Developing and implementing an efficient and cost-effective global supply chain strategy to ensure timely delivery of automotive parts to customers across Europe and the UAE.

Inventory Management:

• Overseeing and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs and maintaining high service levels.

Transportation and Distribution:

• Strategizing and executing transportation and distribution plans, ensuring seamless delivery of products to customers while optimizing logistics costs.

International Expansion:

• Leading the logistics team in establishing new distribution centers and operational processes in Europe and the UAE to support the client’s growth objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborating with various teams, including operations, sales, and technology, to align logistics strategies with overall business goals and enhance operational efficiency.

Vendor Management:

• Managing relationships with logistics partners, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry or a related sector.
• Extensive knowledge of international logistics regulations, freight forwarding, customs procedures, and import/export compliance.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in leading and developing cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Previous experience in managing logistics operations in Europe and/or the UAE is a plus.

Location:

This role can be based in either Dubai, UAE, or The Netherlands, reflecting the client’s commitment to establishing a strong operational presence in these regions.
