As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for construction projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all engineering activities align with project goals, timelines, and budgets. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing processes and enhancing operational efficiency while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead the mechanical engineering team in the design and analysis of mechanical systems.
• Develop detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish project timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Review project designs for accuracy and functionality before implementation.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and updates.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction or engineering sector.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and structural analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
