In this position, the responsibilities of the Service Associate include, but not limited to, the following:
Welcome and interact with guests, offer exceptional service to the guests in the restaurant and making them feel welcomed, comfortable, important and relaxed
Prepare the table, laying out napkins and making sure the condiments are refilled as per the standard
Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations in order to make right recommendation to guest to maximize all sales opportunities
Complete daily checklist at the beginning and end of the shift, ensuring all tasks are completed throughout the shift
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor to ensure is well maintained as per hygiene standard
Actively use upselling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase average spending per customer
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
High school qualification
Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience preferably in 5 star hotel chains or restaurants
Basic computer literacy
Fluent English communications skills- both written and spoken
Knowledge of basic food hygiene and HACCP
Ability to take responsibility, handle multiple tasks and prioritize
