Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs
– Prepare a variety of baked goods
– Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
– Managing inventory of ingredients and supplies.
– Ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation of the baking area.
– Maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
– Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating baked goods.
– Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
– Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
– Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers.
– Check the quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
– Create new dessert recipes, and test new flavors.
**Qualifications**
– Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a bakery chef within the hospitality and catering industry.
– Proven experience as a pastry chef or baker.
– Creativity and attention to detail.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Knowledge & Competency**
– Solid understanding of pastry and baking tools, and equipment.
– Knowledge of ingredients and their properties.
– Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
– Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
