Primary Function Provides managerial, leadership and administrative oversight over all aspects of aerial port, aircraft ramp services, air cargo/freight and air passenger terminal operations. Direct and manage all aspects of a terminal operations, cargo/ramp service, special planning, data processing, airlift management, passenger services, fleet services and air transportation standardization.
Responsibilities Develop and implement traffic management plans, policies, systems, and techniques for cargo/passenger movements. Assist other functional branches with the development of policy and training for aircraft recovery and emergency services to ensure readiness. Ensure airfield safety through effective oversight and management of air terminal operations through coordination with other functional branches (i.e. Mission Support Group, Security Group). Works with Port of Entry officials to ensure host nations customs/immigration procedures are followed. Ensures aircrew members are briefed on hazardous material compatibility. Assists with inspection/certification of all HAZMAT air shipments. Coordinates with military and commercial flight origination locations to ensure inbound aircraft are received and turned in a timely and efficient manner. Develops and maintains flight line driving certification program. Collect, analyze, and report events, metrics, data, and write reports and adjust operations to meet schedule goals. Analyze technical problems, their impact to the business, and create solutions suitable for current and future business environments. Other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements Minimum six (6) years of experience in USAF Air Mobility operations, Air Mobility Control, and Air terminal Operations Centers with at least one (1) year in a leadership role. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a relevant field, such as airfield management, aerospace operations, aviation maintenance, etc. Knowledge of US military operations and contracting support in contingency environment Proven verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead, coach, and supervise a team Ability to exercise discretion and make effective decisions.
Preferred Qualifications Prefer experience working with diverse cultures and various trade skills in an austere, hazardous environment
