The Division

Cogsdale offers a best-of-breed customer information system that includes financials, distribution, utility billing, customer management, work management, project management, and procurement. Cogsdale extends the suite to include functionality such as: interactive voice response, document management, payment kiosks, and online credit checks.

The Position

We are seeking Trainee Software Developer to aid in the upgrading and maintenance of our mobile product. The product is built with the Angular framework, brought to mobile devices via a native runtime framework. We are migrating this native runtime framework from Cordova to Capacitor. The candidate will work in a small to team debug and modify code to help in completing the product migration from Cordova to Capacitor. When this upgrade is complete, the candidate will assist in the ongoing maintenance of the product to ensure that any issues our customers have can be resolved quickly and with a high degree of quality.

The chosen candidates will work out of the Contour Software Karachi office, working as part of the resource-centre, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• A University degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Angular experience is required must be able to understand and write production ready Typescript, HTML, and CSS/SCSS. Version 15+ experience is preferable but not required.
• Should have a good eye for clean UI/UX and be able to bring that to life through code.
• IOS application development experience would be helpful, especially with a modern JavaScript/Typescript framework.
• Experience with Cordova or Capacitor, especially the migration of Cordova applications to Capacitor applications, is a bonus.
• Knowledge of GIT workflows, Node JS ecosystem, Jira, and Bitbucket is a bonus.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
