Confidential Company Hiring for Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer at Sohar Full Time

Application invited from Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for a short term assignment of 2-3 months. Extendable if required.

Job Duties:

Experience on Electrical Designing

Possess experience in the preparation of Equipment Specifications, Preparation of SLD & Schematics, Cable schedule, Switchgear Room Layouts, Preparation of Electrical BOQ, MTO’s, Technical Bid Analysis, Inspection.

Ability for selection of Equipment (Motors / transformers , switchgear etc..), Electrical Layout engineering, Cable engineering, Panel Engineering, Power System Study experience.

Identify the control, electrical and instrumentation engineering deliverables, based on the scope agreed and use these as a basis to assist in the provision the project estimates and project execution plan which will form part of the EP submission pack.

Responsible for providing the control, electrical and instrumentation engineering support to the project manager to ensure that the project will deliver the required benefits and is fit for purpose.

Ensure Quality Assurance/Quality control processes have been incorporated in the design.

Review / develop established standard details & specifications.

Manage production of standard Electrical details/specifications

Strategic technical decision making

Understands applicable codes, standards and project contract documents.

Monitors site activities to ensure compliance with contract documents.

Interprets or clarifies technical aspects

Technical responsibility for quality associated with Electrical design deliverables

Review of all Electrical submissions to ensure consistency of approach

To undertake Electrical Building Services design review

Technical Report writing

Engage in Multi discipline coordination

Prepare technical specifications and mark ups/sketches

Preparation of design calculations using industry standards

Responsible for ensuring that all control, electrical and instrumentation engineering scope change is agreed with the project manager prior to implementation through the life of the project.
