Back End Developers
Job Purpose / Context:

We are looking for motivated Junior to Senior Back End Developers for Citi’s FXLM Technology team for our Bahrain office. Citi’s FXLM technology group supports the front office technology operations of one of the world’s largest capital market businesses. Our talented technology group is looking for a hands-on, Java, JavaScript and HTML5 developers to design and develop Greenfield and existing applications for their Bahrain based development team on our award-winning Citi Velocity platform.

Job Responsibilities / Role:
oDevelopment:
·Requirements capture, analysis and design on the trading and distribution platform
·Work with the partner teams to realize flow interaction, and communication interfaces
·Testing and QA coordination
·Liaison with the global business, support and development teams
·Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues
·Third line support of the platform during trading hours
·Close interaction with the business product manager and other internal business users covering FX trading

Basic Qualification:
oBachelor’s degree
Technical Skills Required (Development):
oStrong in Core Java
oUnix/Linux experience
oRelational database concepts and knowledge in SQL
oNice to have: FIX protocol, Socket’s API, Middleware’s such as Tibco EMS, Tibco RV, Solace
oMin. 2+ years Web Development experience
oMin. 2+ years full-stack development experience
oFamiliarity with key technology concepts such as MVVM
oMultithreaded Programming
oSolid understanding of OO principles
oExperience working in a finance technology team
oStrong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
oExperience with modern software development practices (test-driven development, Agile continuous integration)
oStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving
oExperience refactoring code, evolving architectures, and Unit Testing
