1. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
An assistant supply chain manager supervises crucial areas of the supply chain.
Responsibilities include encouraging teamwork between the different supply chain functions, creating and maintaining process and procedures, and managing inventory.
Will oversee the activities that take place for procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, and warehousing management.
The assistant supply chain manager will report directly to the AAC Supply Chain Manager.
2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Warehouse management.
Work closely with Customs / customs brokers.
Demand Plan – procurement.
Factory S&OP – coordinate with factories on forecast and deliveries.
Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met.
Oversee product storage, handling and distribution.
Work on forecasts and inventory management.
Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality.
Ensure you’re aware of exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain.
Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff.
Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process.
Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers.
Manage and minimize the risks
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Supply Chain Management / MBA with Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistics as Major
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in managing full end-to-end supply chain
