Responsible for ensuring implementation of established standards regarding quality, and hygiene, of all inputs equipment used, and all food supplied to airlines. Monitors, analyses and reports on matters relating to food production, quality, quantity, presentations and hygiene standard. Ensures that food is prepared to the agreed weight specification and that correct recipes are used. Assists in planning and implementing efficient work flow system, regularly conduct testing procedures to ensure the quality and quantity of raw materials supplied. Provides technical advice to kitchen staff, as necessary. Compiles computer data related to production. Ensures observance of hygiene and safety regulation by catering staff. Liaises with airlines on matters relating to quality of food items.
o Carries out various Clerical duties related, to grocery and airlines stores on assigned shift. Includes preparing flight galleys and container, according to the Airlines dry Store and mineral standard list. Charges Airlines as per the replenishment they require, and posts the information through IMLAN system to Accounts for further action.
o Issues items to various sections against appropriately authorized requisition. Includes ensuring correct items are issued with valid date and obtaining receivers signature. Records all issues, flight number for each item in order to control issuance.
o Liaises with supplier concerned for the provision of items as per supervisor instruction in case items shortage during the shifts to meet customer requirement. Clerk required going out of the unit and driving the Company car to collect / Purchase urgent items required late night or whenever required.
o Ensures that Stores Stock items are kept in their proper locations, for easy identification and to facilitate issues, and regular stock count.
o Issues ready dry store standard full/uplift for operation and obtaining receiver’s signature with flight no, date of departure and post the items to IMLAN system to account for further action.
o Receive items from local suppliers and check the quantity, specification, production/expiry date, condition and store the items in their proper location according to item nature.
o Carries out cash float of BD.40 to arrange and purchase items for VIP’s or special items requested and collect the order from local market during shift (late night).
Comply with the Company and Airport authorities’ health, safety, and security regulations.
Completion of secondary (12 years) education.
3 years’ experience in Stores.
Other Essential Requirements:
o Fair knowledge of written and spoken English
Valid light duty driving license.
