We are seeking an Engineer PMO with Defense Projects background to join our client’s project team for th next 3-4 years. The successful candidate will report to the Program Manager and will have in charge the Project Planning & Control, Scheduling, Ressources planning, Finance, and internal Communication. The candidate will not have to manage directly any team but will collaborate with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop the project. It is a full site on-site role located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.Responsibilities:A. Establish project governance structure to ensure that:- The project is prioritized and aligned with the short- and long-term goals of the business- The right people have access to the right information to make the right decisions- The project is staying within the planned time and budget- Enterprise resources are utilized in the most efficient manner- There is ongoing risk assessments and mitigation across all projectB. Provide management reports about:- Overall progress and health of projects- Status of milestones and deliverables across the portfolio- Financial information about the budget, forecast, actuals, margins, etc.- Project risks and progress on mitigating these risks- Operational efficiency and project performance- Effective management and utilization of enterprise resourcesC. Realign priorities project as per strategic business objectives- Project is are selected and prioritized as per the business goals- Enterprise resources are allocated and utilized as per business goals- Design and track various performance KPIsD. Plan and schedule resource efficiently- Create visibility of resource capacity, competency, and availability for all stakeholders- Establish a real-time resource scheduling to accommodate the fast-changing ground reality- Track all types of work, i.e., project work, non-project work, vacation, etc.E. Forecast and enable resource capacity planning- Forecast capacity vs. demand to identify shortfall or excesses of the resources- Forecast people on the bench and project vacancies to minimize resource wastageF. Facilitate team collaboration and communication
Requirements:- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management- Prior experience working on projects in the defense/aerospace sector (UAV, Missile, or similar) is a very good plus.- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix organizational structure.- Project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is highly desirable.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Flexibility and availability to start the project within short notice.If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for project management in the defense sector, and possess the required skills and experience, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
