Arab Open University Hiring for Software Developer Kuwait at Kuwait, Kuwait Full Time

Job Description

The Arab Open University in Kuwait is currently looking to recruit a Software Developer:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages (C#, VB .NET).
  • Maintain database access layer and PL/SQL code in Oracle database.
  • Analyze and determine information needs and elements, maintains data relationships and attributes and data output and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to produce software design and application architecture.
  • Upgrade, configure debug and improve existing .Net projects related to student information system.
  • Suggest and implement effective integrations with external systems through APIs, web services, etc.
  • Test and deploy applications and systems as requested.
  • Perform data migration whenever requested.
  • Develop system documentation and business user manuals.
  • Provide technical and functional support on the university student information system.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and change management process through effective end user communication.
  • Write code for mobile applications on iOS and Android.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science, IMS, computer engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer of not less than 7 years.
  • Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, Oracle/SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
  • Strong programming skills of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Good experience in Agile software development methodology.
  • Ability to work independently on projects.
  • An excellent background in system analysis and data modeling concepts.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Knowledge of native mobile programming is a plus.
