AMI Healthcare is seeking an experienced Consultant in Neurology to join the medical facility for a new specialized hospital in Psychiatry and Neurology in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but is not limited to)
Provide high-standard patient care in accordance with AMI Healthcare standards of patient care, mission, vision and values in Neurology.
Provide inpatient care for the Neurology patients admitted to the hospital either as the MRP or as the covering physician during rest hours, weekends, holidays or vacations of the MRP, accepting the inconvenience associated with the patient needs.
Provide care to Neurology patients to patients in inpatient and ambulatory services.
Provide Neurology consultations services to other divisions within the hospital.
Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions and procedures in patients with neurological disorders for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on his/her training, qualifications, experience and skills.
Participate in interpreting and reporting the neurological procedure such as EEG, Evoked Potential and Nerve Conduction study, and to perform EMG.
Participate in the on-call coverage in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Division of Neurology, the Department of Medicine.
Actively participate in Quality Improvement program.
Provide close supervision of the clinical performance of subordinates and to provide them with a role model especially those in training.
Supervise the Neurophysiology Technologists and train them in her/his field of experience.
Serve in divisional, departmental and organizational committees as appointed by the Head, Division of Neurology, Chairman, Department of Medicine or the Executive Management of the organization.
Adhere to all rules and regulations of the Division, department and organization. Consultants are expected to familiarize themselves and comply with both the APPs and IPPs.
Comply with all the professional and ethical standards and express adherence to the Medical Staff Bylaws of the organization.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Doctor of Medicine from an accredited university.
American Board Certification, Facharzt, Royal College of Psychiatry, Arab Board OR equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience as a consultant.
Eligible for licensing by Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
