Provide supervisory oversight of EHS Specialist staff. Supervisory tasks include, but are not limited to, conducting employee orientation and training; assigning work; evaluating performance; counseling and taking corrective action; reviewing and approving time records; reviewing and approving leave requests; resolving complaints; developing the staff; coaching / motivating to establish an effective team; participating in or conducting meetings; preparing reports, plans, and working instructions.
Responsible for incident reporting and investigation, assistance with developing and implementing corrective actions, conducting work area inspections and assessments, waste minimization, and record keeping.
Follows injury management guidelines for treating occupational injuries through coordination of local medical facilities and safety leadership.
Perform all other position related duties as directed
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to develop and implement OSHA compliant workplace inspection programs.
Understanding of workplace hazard identification techniques and assessment methods.
Effectively plan and organize assigned work with a focus on matters of significance.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Work independently with minimal oversight.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in the EHS field, on a program similar in scope to APS-5
2+ years of experience working in an EHS related supervisory role.
Tier 1 NACI required
Preferred Qualifications:
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Detailed understanding of OSHA regulations for general industry in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations, Title 29, Part 1910.
Professional safety certification (OHST, STS) desired.
